Under the Licensing Act 2003, anyone authorising the retail sale of alcohol must hold a personal licence.  To qualify for a personal licence, an applicant must hold a licensing qualification which is Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA) accredited, and Government approved.

The Level 2 Award for Personal Licence Holders (APLH) is both QCA accredited and Government approved, and has been specifically designed to meet the statutory requirements of the Licensing Act 2003.  It is a one-day course ending with a 40 question multiple-choice examination.

The Level 2 Award for Designated Premises Supervisors (ADPS) course provides more detailed training for those Personal Licence Holders who are, or are to become, Designated Premises Supervisors.  It is a one-day course with a multiple-choice examination.

Trade Law Matters is an approved centre for the administration of these highly-regarded BIIAB qualifications.
